Sustainability

Discover our social and sustainability initiatives

Fispal Food Service and Fispal Sorvetes are committed to the sustainable development of the market. As opportunity creators, we play a key role in helping the entire food service community improve its own sustainability through content generation and business connections. We invite you to be part of this journey that transforms lives and positively impacts the planet!

Fispal Food Service is part of Informa Markets and the Informa Group. Sustainability at Informa focuses on the long-term impacts we create for customers, colleagues, the communities we work in, and the environment. For this reason, Informa developed the FasterForward approach to sustainable business. Informa's goal is to become an increasingly sustainable and positively impactful business. Through the FasterForward program, we are embedding sustainability into everything we do and leveraging opportunities to help our customers and markets do the same. FasterForward is a program structured into three parts, with ambitious commitments and a wide range of activities, covering Informa's business operations, our brands and products, and our broader impact on the community. When it comes to sustainability, we are moving faster.

As part of our commitment, we are focused on three sustainability pillars

Inspiring Sustainable Development

1- Inspiring Sustainable Development

Incorporating sustainability into our brand by 2025 to inspire our sector to be more sustainable, promoting the achievement of the UN's SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

2- Running an Environmentally Responsible Event

Becoming carbon neutral, halving our waste, and helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint by 2025, as a stepping stone to achieving zero waste and net zero carbon by 2030 or earlier:

Responsabilidade Ambiental
  • Better Stands Program: Raising awareness among our exhibitors and stand builders to use reusable stands, thereby reducing waste generation.
  • Reduction of printed materials, ensuring they are FSC-certified.
  • Use of LED lighting in the pavilion and Informa spaces, along with optimized air conditioning usage to reduce energy consumption.
  • Interactive kiosks spread throughout the event for exhibitor and product searches, reducing the need for printed pocket maps.
  • Selective waste collection and environmentally responsible disposal of all waste generated during the event.
  • We recycle the banners used at the fair for subsequent donation to the NGO Safrater (Sociedade de Amparo Fraterno Casa do Caminho) for social initiatives.
  • Use of carpets made from recycled PET, with 80% reused from previous events. Post-event waste is sent for recycling and transformed into new products.
  • Vegan and vegetarian food options available at the event's restaurants and snack bars.
  • At the event's exit, a designated area is provided for the conscious disposal of badges, which will be reused in future events.
Responsabilidade Social

3- Running a socially Responsible Event

Contributing at least 1% of pre-tax profits to community groups by 2025, advocating for diversity and inclusion, and creating value for our host cities by:

Hiring People with Disabilities (PWD) in partnership with the PAE (Efficient Attendant Program).

Motorized wheelchairs are made available for accessibility at the event.

Supporting the Tiãozinho School Bakery and Cuida Alimenta projects by Safrater throughout the year.

Sustainability Highlights

  • At the pavilion, take advantage of the Well-being Lounge to rest and recharge your energy.
  • We provide hydration points throughout the pavilion. It's important to take regular breaks to drink water.
  • We encourage healthy eating by offering a food court with diverse options, including vegan and vegetarian meals during the event.
  • Free Wi-Fi is available for all visitors and exhibitors.

To arrive and leave the event, use public transportation and the free shuttle departing from the Tietê metro station. If you're coming from outside São Paulo, we offer exclusive discounts on travel packages.

We aim for every visitor to feel welcomed and represented, and for our communities to be enriched and inspired by the wide diversity of innovations and ideas we promote at Fispal Food Service. We achieve this through:

  • Hiring People with Disabilities (PWD) in partnership with the PAE (Efficient Attendant Program).
  • Offering attractions for various food service segments to assist as many professionals as possible.
  • Our group of ambassadors includes people of different genders, races, and ages.

Cuida Alimenta Project by Safrater

This year, Fispal Food Service is honored to support the Cuida Alimenta project by Safrater, which aims to provide quality food with adequate nutritional value to students participating in Safrater's activities.

To strengthen our partnership with the Cuida Alimenta project, Fispal Food Service has implemented the Solidarity Ticket, where visitors opting for this modality will pay 50% of the entrance fee by donating 1kg of food, which will be directed to the project.
